We Have Quick Guide Videos

A webcam on a desk. We have quick video guides.

We have quick guide videos! Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you were unsure what to do? Believe me, we have too. It doesn’t have to be that way when it comes to your website. We are constantly brainstorming ideas for quick guide videos to show you all the ways to manage the content of your website; whether that’s your blog, event postings, eCommerce inventory, etc! Our quick video guides are typically under 5 minutes. That’s enough time to get the info you need, sip on a coffee, and then go about your day! How great is that!?

Where to Find the Quick Video Guides

Our quick guide videos are housed on YouTube, but we embed the code on our website. That just means you can access the videos from either location. You can access our quick video guides at https://www.webpagemage.com/guides/, but if you enjoy going straight to YouTube you can use this link https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLf0kPp_mIt8YbNEt0_OdG42s3XmM4zhCc

Website Security, Padlock, and Credit Card

Website Security Is Very Important

Website Security, Padlock, and Credit Card

At Webpage Mage we include baseline website security in every site we build. We firmly believe in securing websites to keep out hackers, phishers, spoofers, thieves, and all sorts of malicious-minded people (and those pesky bots). Your website should be secure, but if you’re not a Webpage Mage client you could be at risk. Hackers can do all sorts of bad things to and with your site if it’s vulnerable. Look at your address bar when you are on your website. If you don’t see an HTTPS and a padlock icon in front of the website address you should definitely contact us.

How Our Services Can Improve Website Security

Our security services provide you with multiple facets of protection. We protect your data by backing it up to an off-site storage media (in the cloud) on a weekly basis. Backing up data is important, but it’s not always enough.

Equally important is the need to update website plugins. Hackers purposefully try to find errant code in the plugins used on websites. If found, they will use that flawed code to find backdoors into various websites. Developers will update / patch their plugin codes to correct these issues. Immediately updating plugins when they are available is extremely important. Part of our base service package includes this.

There are many other security features that should be addressed. We’ve listed a few below:

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
  • Malicious IP Blocking
  • Antimalware Scanning
  • HTTPS (allowing for encrypted data transfer and transactions)
  • Verified Encryption Keys
  • SPAM Filters

All of this is a part of the baseline package we offer.

What Steps You Can Take

It can be daunting to think about, but there are some simple things you can do to keep your website secure. Let’s take a look at just a few:

  • Never give anyone your username or password.
  • Don’t write your username or password down.
  • Enable 2FA in your account (this is usually disabled by default, but should be enabled if your account is an administrative account).
  • Try to avoid putting your email address or phone number in news posts you create for your website.
